The Fairmeadow Walkathon is the main event of the Walkathon & Fall Fundraiser happening on October 11th, 2026. Students can participate throughout the event, with three themed runs scheduled during the day. Families are welcome to walk laps with their students.
How the Walkathon Works
The Fairmeadow Walkathon is the main activity of our Walkathon & Fall Fundraiser. Students can arrive with their families anytime during the event from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and stay as long as they would like.
During the Walkathon, students can walk, jog, or run laps around the course at their own pace. Families are welcome to walk alongside their students. While the course is open for three hours, a realistic goal for many students is to complete as many laps as they can within about an hour.
The Walkathon also includes three optional themed runs during the day: the Bubble Run at 10:00 a.m., the Bracelet Run at 11:00 a.m., and the Color Run at 12:00 p.m. Students can participate in any or all of the themed runs, or simply continue walking, jogging, or running laps.
Why Do We Ask for Pledges?
The Walkathon is also an important fundraiser for Fairmeadow. Families can invite grandparents, relatives, neighbors, friends, and other supporters to make a donation in honor of their student.
Every donation, big or small, helps Fairmeadow PTA fund programs, resources, and enriching experiences that benefit Fairmeadow students, staff, and the broader school community.
Every student is encouraged to participate in the Walkathon regardless of how much money they raise. Pledges are simply a way for family and friends to support their student’s effort while helping Fairmeadow PTA raise funds for the school.
Fairmeadow PTA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible.

Come when you can and stay as long as you want. Walk, jog, or run!
Event-Day Check-In
Students must stop by the check-in table to sign in and pick up their event T-shirts. Walkathon registration begins at 9:45 a.m.

Can’t Attend on October 11th?
Students who are unable to attend the Walkathon on October 11th will still have an opportunity to participate. A make-up Walkathon will be offered during lunch on Monday, October 12th, 2026.
Families may also create their own plan for completing the equivalent of Walkathon laps somewhere else.
